The Training Team

The training staff of Funeral Industry Development Australia collectively have over 80 years of Funeral Industry Experience.  As well as being qualified trainers, they are regularly involved in day to day Funeral Service Operations in their specialist areas as Grief and Bereavement Educators, Conductors, Arrangers, Embalmers, Funeral Director’s Assistants and in Business Management.

James MacLeod

James MacLeod has over 30 years of experience in the funeral industry in many roles across three states - South Australia, ACT and Victoria.

James has numerous qualifications which include a Masters in Business Management, a Certificate in Workplace Leadership, Advanced Certificate in Management Skills, a Certificate in Funeral Management (Australian Funeral Director’s Association).

Wendy Goy

Wendy Goy has over 20 years of experience in many roles in the funeral industry.

Wendy’s qualifications include Certificate III in Information Technology and a Bachelor of Science (Psychology).  She is an accredited leader of the "Bereaved Partners Program" and has participated in many workshops including Communicating with Bereaved Clients, Customer Service and Winning Business on the Telephone.

Jennifer Burge

Jennifer Burge has 25 years experience in the funeral industry, including 23 years in the mortuary.  She is a FIDA tutor and assessor holding Certificate IV in Trainer and Assessor. She is also a past Chairman of AIE (Australian Institute of Embalming), Member of disaster response team which involved work in Bali and Rotterdam and has participated in several speaking engagements at conferences focusing on embalming education in the community and training within the industry.
